Al Jazeera Academy opened its doors to students in September 2002. It is a modern international educational institution which comprises three separate schools within a single campus to cater for all students from Nursery to Year 12. Our three schools are:
- Nursery (Preschool : Year 6);
- The Secondary Girls School (Years 7 : 12);
- The Secondary Boys School (Years 7 : 12).
AS Levels are offered for students only wanting a one year programme in Year 12.
IGCSE Examinations are currently taken by students at the end of Year 11.
Each school aims to provide an exciting, challenging and innovative learning environment for students of all nationalities.
AJA aims to develop each studentĀ??s ability to think critically and laterally, to make considered judgments, solve problems and show initiative in undertaking tasks. This learning takes place in a friendly and caring school environment, in which each student feels safe and secure, and where they can strive to achieve personal excellence.
OUR VISION
We Strive to offer a proven and well established international education that caters for the needs of all our students, that educates them completely as people in this fast developing Islamic cultural setting and gives them an awareness of their future capacity to contribute to the global community.
OUR MISSION
At Al Jazeera Academy we aim to offer our students the National Curriculum of England as a proven, well-established and bench marked curriculum, complemented by an excellent education in Arabic, Qatari History and Islamic Studies. Cater for all of our students, ensuring that each student has a personalised learning of which he/she has taken ownership. Educate students to work independently and cooperatively, encouraging them to approach their learning in a manner that is both receptive and critical. Encourage our students and staff to develop good emotional intelligence and the skills necessary to achieve good health and well-being. Encourage our students to engage through their learning with current global issues and to consider solutions that they could put forward. To promote Islamic Values throughout the school, ensuring that all students deepen their understanding of these through their learning.
